Mississippi English Language Proficiency Strategies: Implementing the MS ELP Standards

This training will consist of a one-day in person full day training coupled with 4 virtual Model to Mastery Lab sessions to support use of the materials that will be provided in the in-person session.  The training is designed for all teachers (EL, general education, special education) and administrators (building and district level) who support EL Students.  For the in-person training, facilitators will lead MS educators in a deep dive on how to better understand the MS ELP standards and how they apply to the MS CCR standards.  Educator will be provided with strategies, essential knowledge and skills, understanding of the English language proficiency levels and multiple EL specific resources (valued at over $140).  The Model to Mastery virtual sessions will focus on use of resources for optimum outcomes.

Participants must attend the full in-person day and the 4 virtual sessions in order to receive CEUs or SEMIs.

Target Participants: EL, General Education, Special Education and Administrators that support EL Students.
